Hardest thing to give up about Taiwan

But taiwan isn’t high altitude. The fries in Taiwan were bad then I came back to the USA and they’re bad here. Maybe that’s just a sign that I should live McFatty alone.[/quote]
The fries are really hit or miss. I found they were more miss than hit in Taiwan, but of generally comparable quality to the US. On the other hand, US McDs haven’t had the makeover that I saw a lot of Taiwanese McDs get.

Bubble Tea
Night market
convenience
Breakfast places
Mass Transit
Food in general (you just can’t get good Taiwanese food in the States)
Relatives

I do not miss the weather though.

Being different from everybody else

Having the opportunity to speak Mandarin every single day to all kinds of people…as opposed to a few times a year with my in-laws or when ordering from the local Chinese cafe

Watching interesting religious processions in the streets

Firebrand political rallies

Cheap food

Not having to drive everywhere
