I just set it up, subscribed on the hbo Asia mobile phone app, then downloaded the app on lg TV app store, activated by scanning the QR from hbo mobile and hey presto got HBO and didn’t need to sign a two year contract for cable TV.

Is the content scrubbed to be Taiwan-family-friendly like it is on regular Taiwanese HBO?
Just been re-watching Game of Thrones so far, and it’s completely unedited so I don’t think so. No idea how a “family-friendly” version of GOT would even be possible!
Subtitles for non English content?
It ran on Taiwan HBO with limited violence and cut or blurred nudity, as do all movie and HBO originals.
Game Of thrones on HBO go is a go (first time I see it and now I know why people liked it). Full nudity, violence and other goodies.

Also had the GOAT intro, the only one I would let play in its entirety and not skip over.
Just wait for later episodes it gets pretty crazy.

I just got the message that ‘Dune’ is streaming on HBO GO now.
Is there anyway to get MAX yet? HBO go was good for like 5 seconds then you run out of shows.

Eventually they will cancel Go and start MAX, you pay more and get more shows.
I’m watching last of us and game of thrones related, not bad.
Sorry if mentioned earlier, but it seems like if you’re using a Google play account made in another country, the app will not be available to download.
Quite annoying
Yeah, I’m having the same issues with an Apple App Store account, and a Roku, both based on Canadian setups with HBOGo unavailable.
If I log out of one App Store on my iPad, and log into a different Taiwan account, I can get the app and presumably subscribe (and then screen share to my Roku) but I’m not sure if I’d also have to log in and out of different stores to then use it afterwards.
We have no Taiwanese cable at all, so subscribing that way isn’t an option.
