Limit number of likes

I’m apparently too nice for this derelict website. It seems there’s a limit for liking posts. Initially, I thought it was a daily thing, but now I’m frequently getting alerts that I need to wait 5, 7 or 10 more minutes to like again. Is there really a limit? If so, what’s the limit and how does it work? I apparently need to tone down my niceness.
