How to say "post" and "repost"

If post is 帖子, does that make repost 再帖子?

More importantly, how good is 帖子?

That’s a noun. I assume you’re asking for the verb?

Go with this:

I was thinking noun, but both would be good to know.

Is 發文 good even when you’re posting just a picture?

發圖 for picture.

Cool. But Repost Czar would use the noun and therefore be 再帖子沙皇 or 重複帖子沙皇, right?

Repost Czar shouldn’t translate Repost Czar.

How would you translate it?

重PO霸王

I find 貼文 more common than 發文, but I am no expert in the matter.

發佈貼文 is probably the long version, with 發佈 the verb and 貼文 the noun, but I just asked my colleague how to say “to post sth” and she replied 貼文, noting that it can be used as verb. Cha bu duo~~

Repost: 轉貼

I’d go with this one.

重複帖子沙皇 is too literal and doesn’t sound Chinese. It sounds like a translation.

Yeah, czar doesn’t really have the connotations in Chinese that it has in English.

I wouldn’t.

Aaaaaand Gain comes and poo poos on another post that was supposed to be fun

I am fun, and I still wouldn’t translate it because it works better in English.

Some phrases or words just work better if left in English.

What am I, some kind of cultural imperialist? Sheesh, I’m a czar, not a monster! :upside_down_face:

I like the 霸王 part but would still prefer not to use PO. 重帖霸王/重貼霸王?
