Nobody ever looks good in shorts. I’d be OK with men wearing shorts if I didn’t have to see them. There are few things worse than being stuck in a meeting with a load of hairy legs on view. It’s just unpleasant.

It would only be ironic if I were criticising Shane for being uptight. I wasn’t, I was suggesting an explanation. I’m British, too, and quite like uptightness.
