If we don't do something about climate change at least the kids are trying

Trumpist idiots will tell you that climate change is fake news.

yeah pity is NOT the doubters that are the first ones to suffer too!

That’s a nice excuse for a long weekend! Back in my high school days we would have never thought about it.

Politicians made a bad move in recent times tying in social justice issues with climate change, i guess people lost interest and they needed to do that. Look at AOCs plan, there’s a lot of things that have nothing to do with climate change like income inequality, free housing, free education.

Bingo, they were getting a hard time from the right so they made their beds on the left. I said it before but, if I said the solution to Global Warming was wearing a party hat on Friday, people in England anyway would get that was promoting the Monster Raving Loony Party policy. The Green New Deal, is promoting Socialism. Most of it has nothing to do with tackling climate change.

Did they try planting trees instead of skipping class and using paper from trees to make signs? You give the issue to the gov…trust me, they will just make you pay taxes for stupid plans that fail.

that sounds like a lot of work…

you’re right, lets just make everyone pay a bunch of taxes instead.

It’s pretty incredible how people on this site are so quick to accuse their so-called SJWs for the lack of action on the single most pressing issue in our life time before looking at a mirror themselves. The fact that your country is plagued with climate change deniers is not anyone’s fault. Stop blaming your own stubbornness, poor education (or the educational gap), and low information on others. It’s fucking pathetic.

You guys should feel ashamed of yourselves in front of these children. Guess what. They don’t give a shit about your stupid anti-AOC politics. They’ve most likely have never even heard of her.

Who’s in front of what now?

Can they SEE me through this confounded looking glass?

Indoctrinated 8 year olds is reminiscent of Pol Pot, or Mao, or Hitler youth, just saying, didn’t work out well in the past.

Aren’t you british?

British…ahhh yes but at that age ( before the climate change thingy became so hip) we were just listening to this type of thing

The kids say “Old people think we are indoctrinated but we’re pretty clued in”

Yeah, thats not what was said in the article. If you are going to quote something at least get it right, or make a note of your change, like me saying the emphasis added is mine.

“Old people think we’re ignorant, but look around,” he says, gesturing to the swelling crowd. “We’re pretty clued in.”

Why would we think they are ignorant? Oh wait from the previous paragraph.

“Some countries will be underwater in the next ten years unless we do something,” says Eliza, a 15-year-old who joined the protests Friday.

No, some countries are not going to be underwater in 10 years and the planet is not coming to an end in 12 years as AOC said.

This is just a product of pushing politics into kids at an early age. Better they grow up learning to love each other and take pride in who they are than being taught they know better than anyone and the list of identity politics issues that pushes toxic masculinity, wage gap and feminist ideology, white privilege and basically is teaching them to hate themselves.

We already see the product in AOC, knows better than anyone, won’t listen, pushes daft politics and unfortunately for the people in NY has real consequences.

This is the original article, they updated it, so I did get it RIGHT

And … WHIFF!!

The kids (AOC and the DSA anyway) have now poisoned the well for new climate change legislation.

After admitting they don’t give a damn about climate change, and that the GND was nothing but a Trojan horse for socialism, I think the Democrats are going to have to push that “twelve years and it’s too late” narrative out a decade or three longer.

Chakrabarti had an unexpected disclosure. “The interesting thing about the Green New Deal,” he said, “is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all.” Ricketts greeted this startling notion with an attentive poker face. “Do you guys think of it as a climate thing?” Chakrabarti continued. “Because we really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing.”
