Do you mean the pressure cooker function? That’s the main benefit of an Instant Pot, I believe. But pressure cooking isn’t going to make much of a difference for rice, or for most other lentils I guess.

I bought my Instant Pot in Canada a couple of years ago and brought it back here. I’ve never seen that brand here, but I think Costco often sells multi-cookers.

We’re thinking about getting one of those multi-cookers, similar to an Instant Pot. I think they’re also called smart pots or multi-function pots. They are an all-in-one pressure cooker, slow cooker, steamer, yogurt maker, rice cooker, food warmer, sous vide, etc. I don’t think the brand Instant Pot is available locally, but is there a similarly reliable one here, preferably Japanese?
