I remember my shitty previous Android phone’s Maps app would take 20+ seconds to open, and then another 20+ to triangulate my position. The Maps app was the first thing I opened on my new iPhone and it opened and zoomed in on my position in <1 second. I was floored.

Significantly less! I was a student so it was all I could afford. iPhone 5 was my first post-graduation purchase.
That’s why. The bottom of the barrel phones sucked, still suck. I’ve only bought high end because if I am gonna compare to an iPhone. I need to compare with a similar cost.
Agreed. Went with an iPhone instead of a flagship Android because all my friends and family had one. The ol’ blue bubbles story.
I think green bubbles should become a protected class in discrimination law.
