I wouldn’t do it either, anymore than I will let my wife dress my son in a silly bunny suit or pose in a kiddie magazine as a model. I also don’t like competition sports or pushing a kid to strive for being “#1” or “Top of the class”…best, famous, smartest etc.
However I don’t think parents should have “part of the blame” put on their childs’ murder for doing such a thing. As someone has already pointed out above—it happens to very usual looking kids as well,…boys and girls. She wasn’t dressed and made up for a photoshot…she was simply dressed and wandering around. I took the photo. Had I tried that in the US or Europe I probably would have been arrested as a pedophile. I was screamed at by a mother when I tried to snap a shot of a child in a part in the US 13 years ago. Does that mean it was less dangerous? Is freedom of information a bad thing? Are there more kiddie fiddlers about now? Aside: Tom’s opinion… Pedo’s have mental health issues which impact in a disastrous way on society. Pedo’s usually see little to nothing wrong with their behaviour. For that reason they should be institutionalized for life. And castrated.

No, of course not. But it does mean that kids are mollycoddles and denied the chance to develop important social skills, excercise and do the things you should do when you’re a kid.
I got hurt loads when I was a kid. I always had grazes on my knees and elbows and you learn important lessons from getting hurt and knowing your own limits.
