But then again I saw a factory in xingjhuan making AR lowers. I saw them push a crate full of finished AR lowers (I guess for anodizing) onto a blue truck.
So the government must contract shops to make gun parts, either for themselves or for export sale. But it’s not like these factories are under 24/7 armed security so anyone working for them, or owning the factory could sell them on the side… So that must be where all the guns came from.
I wouldn’t call either Kanye West nor Kim Kardashian political activist.
And it’s Puma Shen, not Puma Chen. Nor does he teach at NTU. He teaches at NTPU. I don’t mind him but he is borderline conspiracy theorist. I take his words with a grain of salt unless it’s his area of expertise (criminology, more specifically white collar crime).
That’s not really true though is it, he is more famous as a YouTuber and he is wildly influential with young people I. Taiwan and especially more 台客 types . He is in the news everyday and his politics show before the election where he interviewed all the candidates was popular and influential.
Very little of his fame is related to anything mma related and his gym is as much bodybuilding as anything else
Also the calling out of Pro China celebrity stuff he has been doing , needed to be done and nobody in Taiwan was publicly doing it until him. The 反紅媒 rally was really cool and needed to be done.
Go to any gym and see how many young men are wearing his clothing. If you don’t like him it’s fine, but to say he isn’t influential is laughable
Also he didn’t livestream after being shot. Someone videoed him and he gave a message to his fans if he dies and asked people to look after his mother and family, while he was lying in blood waiting for the ambulance.
Pretty low calling a man who thought he might die a narcissist for wanting to leave a dying message.
That could be true, but that’s not what Taiwan News is saying and I wouldn’t fault anyone for reading the article would think. I’d fault Taiwan News and their shoddy-as-usual go-for-the-eyes reporting.
No I haven’t had a a chance to watch it yet. But I believe you’re right. I just don’t believe we should fault each other when it’s obviously Taiwan News doing the shoddy reporting. I’m just playing devil’s advocate and trying to give benefit of the doubt when there are sources propagating this information.
Basically, I would understand why someone would think this as one of the biggest English newspapers is sayng this.
Then people need to actually check stuff before deriding someone who thought they might die. I dont think it changes anything tbh, just shows how low class some peopole can be.
