Or you could do a livestream for all your fans. Just sayin’…
It’s an option…
I was told from a fairly reliable source the street value of a handgun here is not that high, maybe 20-30K. Probably a shitty imitation but good enough to do the job. So supply can’t be too limited or the price would be much higher.
Shipping containers just like anywhere in the world where drugs and guns get in, doesn’t matter if you’re an island or a continent. Maintaining clandestine manufacturing of illegal guns in a country where demand is low doesn’t seem feasible and the risk too high.
Making guns on your own isn’t easy or safe enough to be widespread. Most countries guns are either professionally manufactured and legal or smuggled in.
Glad you have the SOP down for being shot in the middle of the night three times. Will make sure I check with you next time I am shot, in case I make an embarrassing faux pas
In Taiwan, the manufacture of illegal firearms is a pretty big cottage industry, and there’s high demand for their products.
I believe “artisinal firearms” is preferred
What I mean is, it’s professionally manufactured here in Taiwan, for sales to law enforcement agencies or other countries, or something like the Wolf A1 upper receiver sold in the US (they are made in Taiwan). Because I see factories manufacturing gun parts and it’s not like they are under serious security, so what stops the factory’s owner or employees from selling it to someone else? Making gun barrels isn’t hard, any factories here can make them easily. If worst comes to worst they can use EDM and those are very common in Taiwan. Not to mention any machines that can be used for manufacturing gun barrels are pretty much used to manufacture any other machined parts critical to industry.
Perhaps people here make “helical spline insert” that are exactly .223" in inner diameter… you know for specialized machines. Or such inserts that are exactly 9mm in inner diameter, outer diameter left oversized for fitting into whatever machines that may require them, that are made of 4140 chrome moly steel, hardened to 32 HRc. Those can handle a pressure of at least 50,000 psi.
I think Taiwan actually exports gun barrel making machines.
If by artisanal you mean “may or may not blow up in your face,” then yes.
Part of the rustic charm.
I don’t disagree that it exists. I could only find one article about handmade guns converted from paintball guns. There certainly are gun part manufacturers, and arms for the military. But there is plenty of evidence of gun seizures of western manufactured arms.
After all if you had your choice is it the 叔叔 down the street or a Beretta?
So did he die ?
No. He’s in stable condition.
This guy can’t be that famous as I’ve no idea who the hell he is and next to no interest in finding out.
Don’t worry…you’re not missing much.
What’s your issue with him?
I listen sporadically, there is stuff to dislike and stuff to like, but he clearly has been influential in creating a new Taiwanese political identity
I appreciate his anti-China stance, but other than that his only principle seems to be running his mouth and stirring up controversy for ratings.
The same story he always tells is that he was approached by CCP representative, they offered him 1.5 million per month if he slowly stopped criticizing CCP over next few months and big sponsorship opportunities in China. He turned it down and in turn lost sponsorship in Taiwan.
He is always pushing national identity and telling young people to work hard and be proud of their country. He raised the awareness of CCP infiltration.
He is also a loudmouth and an idiot a bit, but I think a positive influence
This is ridiculous. Less than two years ago he told people to vote for Han. He will point whichever way the wind is blowing. He didn’t create anything.
And Han won
