I was watching the NBA finals and checking some sports forums, and then I saw some really nasty comments including the use of racial slurs.
Those comments were all written in Chinese, probably by some Taiwanese fans who don’t know any better.
It may not contain the same level of offence when it’s a Taiwanese saying it in Chinese, but it’s no doubt improper and stupid anyway.
Anyway, it just reminds me how ignorant and insensitive human beings can be when they’re the majority and how ruthlessly and offensively they may treat the minorities.
