Legality of carrying stun guns in taiwan

actually, try using the stun gun on their car instead of their person… should work well for black boxes and electric windows if you get it in the right place…

being TW sized is not a problem of and in itself. you need to develop THE LOOK. you know, the poison stare, not the mouth breather one.

remember zoolander?

you guys are right. skip the stun gun. let’s go straight for the nookie.^^

Try smiling at them. A smile can be very disarming.

i’ll smile after i’ve had my nookie!^^

Bollocks. Are you applying this to the whole nation?

Will I? Well, thanks for telling me.

Define “Taiwanese Style.” Again, are you applying this to the whole nation?

You obviously don’t need to try.

I’m sure you have. As I have. I’ve also seen a lot of of the wall behaviour in other countries too.

better living through science. if Tesla was still living, he’d be packing voltage.[/quote]

If Tesla was still alive, he’d probably be sipping away his fortune on a Mediterranean island somewhere, not worrying about The Poster’s conflict resolution difficulties.

Nice statistics.
In Taiwan, if betel nut girls count as sex industry, then all catwalk models, billboard models and showgirls should also count towards the sex industry on the occident. Of course, this is discounting all the prostitutes, nude models, porn stars, lap dancers.
Have a look and see proportionately how much American porn there is compared to Taiwanese porn.
Perhaps you need to re-calculate your stats.

I would also wager that a good 20% of all western males should be or have been in jail.

If guns were legal, I’d hope that you fail any licence requirement because from what I can tell from what you have written here, you’d end up behind bars petty quickly.

Bwa ha ha ha ha ha. You’re obviously the only foreigner to ever have lived where you live now.
You’re totally off your rocker.

A simple “alright?” gesture may have sorted that out.

I walked into a bar once. Two guys were staring at me. One turned directly towards me and looked me in the eye. I went to the bar and bought them both a drink. We chatted. I was offered a smoke and Bin Lang. I got a table and waited for a mate that was going to meet me later.

Maybe you’re just crap at reading situations, dealing with situations or perhaps just incredibly paranoid and insecure?

I know. Ever tried to order a McRib? They just don’t have them here. And don’t get me started on the McChicken Sandwich buns. They’re not the same shape as they are back home.

Sure it is. And booting Bin Lang chewing low-life’s to the back of the queue after they push in is the ultimate boost to my self esteem. Even in Chuang Hwa.

I think people on here have every right to judge you; not because of your size, but because of what you write on this forum.

From what I have read and what I have heard from you, you seem to be a nice guy. I can’t offer you any advice or say what you are saying is wrong. I do, however, whole-heartedly disagree with you opinions and your take on people on this island.

A smile might help you get the nookie.

Smiles can be very useful.

lots of good people. but there are dangerous bad asses on the loose. lots of them. the most dangerous thing you can do in taiwan is to get behind the wheel of a car and pull out into traffic. crossing the street runs a close second. if you don’t get into an accident and get killed, they’ll kill you for not letting them run you off the road.
i fail to see how anybody who drives a car could not know this.

you know that fucker that almost killed the taichung mayor’s wife? he is from chu shan (here). and he’s just one of many stupid people in this town and county. i encounter THE SAME EVERYDAY. i’ve just been lucky. when i see them hanging around… shit, i’d just as soon shoot them as look at them.
could i go off the hook? yes i fucking could. if guns were available and they did something bad to me, i probably would. on the other hand, if guns were available, there wouldn’t be so many assholes, so the point is mute.

there’s a reason why the gun was called the great equalizer. it evened out the odds. no longer was victory only to the brutish. even a pussy gentleman from NY could slay the meanest bad guy in the West. that’s how the West was won. that and that ole’ time religion.

I’m restraining myself…

Why not learn some deady fast and useful type of Kung Fu whatzamacallit? Then you can get the added bonus of getting into shape, having a bunch of Kung Fu buddies to back you if the bing lang chewing yahoo gives you the stink eye, and if you actually DO get attacked, you can hopefully defend yourself in a way that doesn’t make you look like some guy who’s walking around with a concealed weapon waiting for some shit to start. Even though you actually are carrying a deadly knowledge around and you’re hoping for the next guy to cross you…

Possibly, you’d be so busy and tired from practicing your new deadly martial art that you wouldn’t care what the local scooter punk thought of you.

That or get some decent running shoes…

Plastic bag and handcuffs. You could pin the “murder” on some low life scum for being born retarded. Earlier today I saw a woman take a dump on the sidewalk in front of cave’s bookstore. Then I came home to this retarded conversation. Whatever. It’s all a matter of perspective and I wish I’d had a different one on today’s massacre.

I am sorry to say this is my first post here after lurking for awhile.

I just wanted to say that not all Americans are like theposter. Some of us have a sense of self worth and think before we express. Theposter, please understand while you are in another country, you represent your country and your countries people just as much (if not more) then you do yourself.

I live in Taichung and I disagree with everything you have said about this city as far as people bullying you. You (and I) are not that special. Everything is not about you. Everybody is treated the same.

No, that’s not true. Ran is special.

Why else would he have been unbanned?

I wonder if theposter lived in Taipei about 6 years ago. He sounds rather like was this guy I knew who frequently went off his (much-needed) meds.

i have no time for pussy taiwan sympathizers. i don’t go around looking for trouble, but i have been almost run off the road 4 times!! how does that have to do with my attitude? i’m driving down the road, minding the rules, and some mother fucker almost runs me off the road. you say “hey what’s the big idea” to your peril. they WILL kill you.

did i almost get in an accident because i was looking for one? no. it’s because these people down here are fucking stupid. i have no sympathy for them. they’ll run you off the road and laugh.

you live in taichung? it’s one of the most dangerous cities in taiwan. it’s known as “hei dao deh tien shia”. the worst drivers and the lowest class of people you’ll meet are in nantou, yuin ling, and zhang hwa. you’ll also meet some of the nicest. but those nice people can’t do shit for you when the maybe 10% of the bad people run you off the road or kill you in a traffic altercation.

enough of this fucking topic. i don’t wanna hear anymore pussy taiwan sympathizers. i won’t even look at this topic again, so whatever you say won’t be seen by me.

Pussy.

Americans don’t lack self worth? Eh? EH?

theposter-child for the US? Eh again. When you are in another country, you represent yourself, the same as when you are in your ‘own’ country. The piece of land we are born on is not who we are. theposter lives in Taiwan; he’s not a guest, an ambassador or a spokesman for anyone but himself and he’s entitled to his opinion and to vent his frustrations. None of us say Americans are all… on this forum, generally, because we hear it enough in real life.

Come spend some time in Taoyuan county…

okay so i couldn’t stay away. hard to resist.
