I am planning to move to Taiwan to start studying Mandarin.
Could anyone give me indication how much I need per month to have modest but decent life in Taipei?
Another question is, would it be possible to find part time job for an international company in Taipei? (I have master degree in economics and management. I am not native English speaker and I do not speak any Mandarin yet.)

Well, it depends on your definition of “modest but decent life”…I think around 30,000~40,000NTa month would let you live okay in Taipei City…
Best if you do a search for this topic. I comes up a lot and there is a lot of information out there that most people probably do not feel like retyping.

Just some good guessing. Don’t forget that you need to buy a lot of stuff, pay apartment deposit. It’s more than you expect.
