These aren’t countries in most people’s sense of the words though. These are just colonies of European nations. They aren’t sovereign.
Supposed to. there was an article about some celebrity with TARC that had to apply to 3 or 4 different embassies before she could get it. I think on the wiki article on Visa policy of HK it also says NWOHR are supposed to travel on that.

Residents of these places would not call their home colonies I would guess, such as a Hawaiian saying they are a colony since Hawaii is not in America thus not United States of AMERICA,

Hawaii is a US state…
It is an American state legally/politically (despite some dissident voices), but to say it’s geographically American is a bit like saying the Falkland Islands are geographically British (as in the British Isles).
Then again, Portugal used to have its capital in South America, so… your planet seems pretty flexible about this stuff.
