Btw. I just discovered, after gazillion of years on this site, that you can enlarge an image to its original size, I guess, by clicking on it twice…

I like this one.

This seems like a good thread to ask, does anyone know where I could buy a large map in English of Taiwan? Been wanting one to hang up in my ESL classroom. Thanks!

Hmmm… Maybe in bookstores. I bought one of Taipei years ago in eslite if I remember correctly. There was a travel section with some maps.

How about this German one from 1890?

Tschok-a-day? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Also, where did Harp Island go?

Not all 1960’s I suspect - Kinmen is on one of them and that would hardly have been a Tourist Hot Spot then - unless you liked being under incoming Mortar Shells.

Damn, good one! I like their maps as well.

USA gov has some good maps of taiwan. Though the 1950s and 60s topographic maps cant be used all the time for accuracy anymore due to landlsides in certain areas. that was a real shocker to me when we started scouting early on. Makes sense though.
