gee, thats harsh… ![]()
Where did this thread reappear from? Now I’m even more confused.
As I wrote in the hiking thread yesterday:
I am confused!
I 've just been looking for the thread on the 101 climbathon, but I can’t find it anywhere. I’ve scrolled down the list of threads in this forum, and cannot see it. What has happened to it?
Anyway
I did it, and have a word or two to say about it, so I’ll post here.
The 20-minute climb was far less taxing than my average daily workout in the gym, but it’s satisfying to have walked all the way up that building. I enjoyed the views from the top and the atmosphere was quite jolly, with a pretty good turnout from the foreign community. I’m very glad I went, it must have raised a tidy sum for a worthy cause :bravo: , and I hope it will be repeated as a regular annual event.
But
I did not meet any fellow hikers there except Feiren.
Where were you, Scomargo and Ironman? I thought at least you two had signed up for it.
And
besides Sandman and Poagao, whom I had the pleasure of seeing perform with the Muddy Basin Ramblers, were any of you other Forumosans there?
Ah, so Tash and Citizen K were there. It’s a pity I didn’t know who you were.
gee, thats harsh…
Oops, my bad…

Disappointed I didn’t!
Thanks AWOL ![]()
Nah! Its just that beer-related vocabulary usually catch my eye… and the idea of a “worty cause”… well, that made me chuckle… Thanks for that!
So, what’s your
excuse for not climbing, Tigerman
? “I’m not-Canadian”, although very funny, has already been taken, pick another one.
Let’s see… what is my excuse… Oh, yeah, I had to go to the Post Home to act as a lab rat for their new southern cooking menu… don’t laugh… it was a tough job… but, somebody had to do it…
I don’t know what happened Omni. We were there. We caught up with Sandy, PaoGao, Feiren and others.
You should have climbed with us. We could have kept your time back to about 30 minutes by lots of photo shoots at the two viewing areas on the way up and stopping for nice chats at the watering spots and more photos.
Hiking this weekend?
