Oh no, not short tight dresses, heels and makeup! The horror!
Kidding. Sounds awesome to me.

anyway I think people dress as they want if they don’t bother others
It does sound awesome.
In practice though, it just comes off as horribly tacky and vulgar (unlike Taipei or Paris) The combo of cakey makeup and lack of knowledge of how to walk in heels does it.
For sure I noticed it recently.
It’s a throwback to the 90s. Bowl cuts for both men and women, hair parting in the middle and undercuts , stussy shirts. I’ve been getting serious flashbacks . I really want to walk up to them and tell them… yo…Get your own fashions yizerall…We done this already and Youze is confusing me.
On the subject of poor fashion sense completely agree and will hold my hand up to say I’m guilty too.
Why ? Because it is so bloody hot and sweaty in Taiwan ! I’d love to wear trousers, jackets and shirts, nice shoes and boots sometimes but I just don’t feel good walking around in the heat and humidity . The most I can do is crank out my decent shirts for about two months of the year ! Two months only! As haven’t been able to travel overseas for almost two years my Winter clothes along with my suits are just hanging there forlornly.
Nine months of the year: T-shirt and shorts; three months of the year: T-shirt and pants.
I see a lot of sportswear like Adidas track pants with the giant bright stripes down the sides, and pullovers with huge tacky Adidas or Reebok logos on them. The people wearing this sort of stuff back home would be the sort of people to avoid.
Don’t do this…Ever.
Now I know who is responsible for the odd eejit I have seen cruising around town looking like he walked off a bad Korean soap opera.
Being Japanese is an excuse for doing some whacky stuff.
Protip- guys , if you are short these clothes will not make you look taller.
I don’t do the Korean look. That’s way outside my capabilities!
But yes, that is indeed a photo of a very tall woman wearing some Yohji clothes.
I personally like wearing nice Yohji shirts, made with simple white broadcloth which doesn’t turn into trash after being worn fives times.
On that note, fast fashion really does suck doesn’t it.

It’s Madness I tell you (this video is confusing as they talk about baggy trousers in the 70s but then they are all wearing skinny fashion with overcoats as they are ska musicians in the 80s…Anyway )
That grotesque undercut with the tail has been around forever, it won’t go away, just like the Crowd Lu bowl.
Is fashion in Taiwan really changing? To me it has been baggy oversized Korean style since… forever. I’m still a newbie so I defer to you old timers. If I see one more woman with light khaki “big pants” and a white baggy shirt …
Nah don’t get upset about that.
It actually looks kinda comfy and also cool. Put on a pair of Dr Martens and she’s good to go!

I’ve always had a soft spot for Docs - that I will allow.
Bring back 90s…Music.
Young people today ape the fashion but they forgot about the music. A bit sad.
Young women here like Docs!
The boys on the other hand . . . it seems they favour sports shoes or wildly impractical leather soled shoes that perform poorly in Taiwan’s wet weather.

Quote for the truth.
It’s been this Korean influenced style for about ten years. Fashion doesn’t change much, it’s just got even more baggy looking recently. They almost always favour black or white clothing. White sneakers. Fashion styles are really boring here.
What am I wearing this Winter?
What am I wearing next winter?
Black.
I say this as somebody who isn’t entirely fashionable himself.
Fark…Yer man Yoshi’s black clad models are following me all over the Internet now.
taiwan or i should say Taipei is more oriented towards women when it comes to fashion and marketing of products. Billboards are all mostly women, all brands are for women stuff so most women pays more to look good and has different styles whereas men just dont focus much on that because mostly their friend circle all have similar style and besides clothing isnt what they focus on mostly.
Also, women here doesnt care “that much” about how a guy is dressed up. They care about his looks and other things like his job, personality, how much money he makes, how he talks, how stable he is and all those stuff.
Yea, I got a guy on my facebook who constantly talks about how he keeps getting “friendzoned” because he’s a freelancer, and is fat. I feel like getting a girlfriend in Taiwan is like going to a job interview or something. Unless you’re a white foreigner then the rules are considerably relaxed. Even a flat slob can score a really good looking girl here. Money talks far more here than looks.
There’s even many girls who wants to see your bank balance before considering dating you. Has to be a really high number like at least half a million. Either that or belongs to a wealthy family.
Is that half a million NTD?
