Mexican Food in Taipei

Tienmu also has a LASAGNA BAR. In this respect, it cannot be beat!

Twinkies Taco experience varies.

Sometimes I go there and I like it other times I go there and I wonder what I’m eating. I think it has something to do with the particular chef that may or may not be there anymore but I’m not sure.

It’s worth a try to develop your own experience.

Masa is really really good.

Hate to break it to you, but lasagna us actually Italian

Whew! Thanks for rescuing me there.

The annual taco fair is on at Yuanshan tonight. I recommend the Indian tacos.

I tried Masa last week and was heavily disappointed. (I only tried the vegetarian tacos). It was tasteless, incredibly tiny and stingy with the ingredients, a bit cold and the tortilla was too chewy. Maybe it was a bad day for them, or they were running out of ingredients.

You should try the tacos from Adobo too. Sergio is a great cook!

I don’t think he was there last year

No, he wasn’t. This is his first year I believe. He was there for the meat lover’s festival last week though. (I’ve been to his place for parties a couple of times where he’s cooked, and I’ve always been impressed!)

I’m not sure what happened. I’ve not had the veg tacos. The fish taco was my favorite. If say give it a month, but give them another shot.

With that said. I did order them from uber eats once and i think it didn’t travel well. Without the salsa bar it also loses some charm.

Yilan was part of Taihoku Prefecture (lol), but that’s quite a few years ago, and before there was a place known as “Taipei.”

Fonda Mexico is legit authentic and delicious… don’t come here expecting Americanized or Tex Mex fare. Also it costs more than Mexico, that should probably be obvious I know, but given the emphasis on CP I thought I’d mention it.

My wife had three tacos (chorizo, saudero, and carnitas) and the beef soup (no photo of the soup, sorry). I had a set that included corn tortillas, bean soup, enchiladas verde, flan, and Jamaica water.

I’ll be back, I hope they are successful.
