Anyone who was forced to get the new ID number in the first year, will not get a fee refund for updating their NHI card. It is free only after 2022.

Between December 31, 2020 (UTC)→June 30, 2022 (UTC) For some time after December 31, 2021 (UTC) NHI charged the usual 200 NTD fee for an updated NHI insurance card after unified ID number had changed getting new A(P)RC for any reason.
