Well, well, well… so Vay has finally gotten around to admitting that global warming hysteria is a religion/belief system. I am sure that his faith is STRONG! :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:
I’ve said nothing vaguely like that… but I think it was a rather telling admission in your original un-edited post, when you said “global warming” is a religion… since I’m pretty sure deep down, that’s what you really think.
Normally I don’t dive into the weeds of state legislators, since there are so many wack-a-doodles down there, but this one deserves notice.
Michigan state rep. Ted Courser is such a godly all-fired up Christian that, rather than have the State government forced to go along with gay marriage, he introduced legislation requiring all marriages in Michigan be overseen by clergy- no civil marriage at all.
Turns out besides defending Christianity against the evil homosexuals, Tedd, who is married- straight, of course-was indulging in a bit of nookie with a fellow Christian Tea-Party state rep. - a married woman, nothing queer about ol’ Tedd.
Hearing news of the affair might soon come up, Courser decides to pre-empt coverage- “start a backburn”, as he put it- by having an aide spread rumors that he, Courser, had been caught having sex with a male prostitute in a nightclub parking lot. That story would of course fall apart, Courser having an alibi, and then he could either put news of the actual affair down to just more liberal media bias, or at worst make the truth seem less black in comparison, so he could go on TV with his wife and do one of those patented “Jeebus forgive me- it was the secular culture that tempted me.” (see Vitter, Dave; Gingrich, Newt)
Unfortunately , the aide refused to go along, so, unwisely forgetting what Jesus taught about forgiveness, Courser fired him- but the aide had tapes of the conversation.
Those two are very well known in Michigan. They are the Ted Cruz of the state legislature, meaning they have no friends on either side of the aisle.
“Todd Courser, a man who never passes on an opportunity to preach about his supposed morals and his close relationship with God, constantly evoking religion in his personal and political stances, has proven to be completely unfit to represent the hardworking residents of Lapeer County,” said U.S. Rep. Candice Miller, R-Harrison Township, who is retiring at the end of her term in 2016.
Courser has said he’s thinking about running for that congressional seat.
Equality Michigan, a group that advocates for gay, bisexual and transgender people, said in a statement “we are disturbed that Courser and Gamrat attempted to use a ‘gay affair’ as part of their continued attack narrative against the LGBTQ communities, rather than take responsibility for their own actions. These self-proclaimed ‘moral authorities’ have built their political careers by demeaning our lives and our relationships as the degradation of marriage and society when they had to look no further than the mirror.”
I’ve said it so many times: whoever smelt it dealt it
Josh Duggar—of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting fame—was named the executive director of the Family Research Council, a conservative lobbying group in D.C. which seeks “to champion marriage and family as the foundation of civilization, the seedbed of virtue, and the wellspring of society.” During that time, he also maintained a paid account on Ashley Madison, a web site created for the express purpose of cheating on your spouse.

Glad to hear he’s doesn’t only diddle his sisters. His life has obviously been inspired by the holy spirit. May he be forever blessed. Ayy-mee-in.
Edit: Today he admits he’s the pervert.
Yeah, I mean, poor Jesus! Can you imagine how this has hurt the omnipotent one most of all? He really needed Josh Duggars’ morality to be a successful savior and all. What a disappointment he is to all those who believe…
The religious right wing hypocritical nut brigade Republicans are at it again, this time it’s Kim Davis with a history of affairs, twins out of wedlock, married 4 times, refusing marriage licenses to gays in Kentucky
Liked this, from back in the day when the pundits were drooling over Dubya’s jockstrap:
