Most Famous Alien in Taiwan

[bump]

This thread needs reviving. I still think Dan Bloom might be the most famous. Or perhaps Poagao might be challenging him for the title since his book was published . (How are the book sales going Poagao?)

A few more suggestions that might not have been mentioned before:
Madoka Ozawa – everybody’s favourite Japanese porn star (btw is she still in Taiwan? any news about her would be appreciated)
formosa – loved and hated chronic overposter on forumosa (aka Chicken Little for his SARS related posts) btw where is he today? It’s awfully quiet without him.
Dennis Flood – I don’t think his famous yet, but he has taken some great photos of Taiwan for which he deserves to become more famous

How about the guy that did his own Mandarin song + video called something like “Bin Lang Xi Shi” (betel nut girl)? I saw it on TV when I visited last summer. It was mildly entertaining, he basically goes on about how he loves betel nut girls. Anyone know who this Joe is? Did he ever become more famous?

Ok - there is a poll now.

I just want to add one more though - but I don’t know her name.

The Japanese actress in that Taiwanese T.V show - Jia You Riben Qi

Anyone?

I would say it’s CCK’s Russian wife - what’s her name?

If famous means in terms of how many Taiwanese know them I would say Jeffrey Mindich since he does the English language news on FTV and also the news on IRCT. These two media are listened to and watched by millions. Also, Ron Stewart because he is so loud Taiwanese that listen to ICRT must know who he is but might not know Jeffrey Mindich. Hartzell I think is only known by a few Taiwanese although he is in the news from time to time, he is not on the news every night like Jeffrey or on the radio every day like Ron Stewart. The African Vitalon P guy might be even more famous because he was seen on so many different channels, perhaps he is the most famous.

Come on, those freakin Studio Classroom people are the most famous.
Come on, those freakin Studio Classroom people are the most famous.
No doubt about it. Vickie, the middle-aged blonde, has been teaching on the radio and TV for more than 10 years in Taiwan. Anna, the redhead on Let’s Talk in English (same company), is also a household name. Just ask any high school student.

On Planet Tealit maybe. I don’t have a clue who you’re talking about and I doubt a single one of my Taiwanese friends or family do either. There’s often white people on that GoodTV channel when I flick past. Is that them?

Oh man, never heard of the Studio Classroom people!!!

You are really missing something. If you ever need a good laugh just search for them on T.V and you’ll be rolling on the floor :unamused:

And don’t forget the head mama Doris. She’s been here 40 years, working on “educational leadership” and “Christian service”.
