Johnette Napolitano / Concrete Blonde
I’ve always felt The Damned didn’t get the respect they deserved. I think they were the best thing to come out of punk and Captain Sensible is a seriously good guitarist.
I’ve seen them live more than any other band. The Cramps second most.
They are great live. I never saw The Cramps, sadly.
They, the Cramps, remain my favorite band live.
I’ve seen Tear This Damn Place Up live on YouTube. He was a lunatic.
Crazy shows. The Boredoms had pretty wild shows too.
Wolfmother
And while they’re well-known by people who know music, The Kinks are underrated, because they’re so much better than The Beatles
Shall I add…
Kurupt.
Tho in one song Eminem says, of the greatest rappers ever - “It goes Reggie, JayZ, Tupac and Biggie, Andre from Outkast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas and then me”
?
I guess Jadakiss
This is a very difficult question to answer. While there are a lot of bands that never made it to the mainstream, yet were adored by their fans, like Big Black, fIREHOSE, Minutemen, Hüsker Dü, etc. Here are a couple that I love, and don’t get the recognition that they deserve:
GALAXIE 500
TYKO
NOT EVEN THE TV
My favorite song ever; the one that made me pick up a guitar:
Everybody knows The Outfields right?
- Your Love
-Everytime you cry
-All the love in the world
-Say isn’t So
-My Paradise
But the lead singer Tony Lewis cameback not long ago as solo career and with the voice intact, and the album had good songs.
Unfortunately he passed away recently before make more awareness to this project.
Where did he go?
