A respray can quickly end up in silly land, as well as the cost of spraying, you need to pay for the stripping and rebuilding of the parts (unless you want to do it your self).
There a quite a lot of vinyl shops that could help you change the colour at a fraction of the cost, depending what you have done you may not need to remove the parts.

If its new and your getting from a main dealer the price itself may be fixed, but you will probably get a load of extras like camera front and back, GPS etc.
You can ask they can always say no, you can get the prices online and they my be fixed see above. They are not shy about letting you walk, as maybe there really is nothing much they can do about the price, or they think you’re taking the piss.
What I would normally do is start with a dealer a bit further away, push it as far as I can to see what I can get and walk. Then hit up the place I would sooner get it from and see if they can match or better it. At least I have a bit of an idea of where I stand when I go in.

So this is a question: since like most brands suzuki doesn’t really have their own dealerships here, how do I find the place to go/what should I do to try and get those kinds of extras? a free front back mounted camera’d be sick.
more I think about it, the bike being new to TW market means they’ve no real incentive to offer any deals or anything on it. What am I gonna do, go used?
The website list all the main dealers, even if it means having a ride out, I’m in deepest darkest Pingtung no Suzuki motorcycle shops here, but I know the local scooter shop will get white plates in to order. But then you’re just buying from the book.
Phone around the dealers on the website, see if any have it in stock, then you will get to sit on it, if you want to ride your going to have to look at second hand ( it don’t mean you need to buy it), but even some second hand places can be a bit timid about letting you ride.
Give it a go, you have nothing to lose and they still want to sell the bike, for the sake of a 8knt camera ( that would probably cost them half that) on the sale of a 160k would be silly of them not to
I have a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650… after looking at bike prices in Taiwan I’m seriously considering privately importing it. Has anyone gone down this track?
There are a lot of bikes here that where imported, then found it difficult to past the test/ to become legal/ taxed. So they are stuck in a grey area where you can own it but you can’t tax it or ride it legally. Getting parts means you will have to import them also, but I know a mechanic who can fit them for you. I would really think twice about this and it may cost more with the taxes and import than buying one here.
PS: Nice bike a friend of mine had one in the 90’s (mid 60’s model) fun in summer but a bit of a dog in winter especially with the salt on uk roads. back then it was just an old work horse to get him around town, didn’t really get the respect it deserved. he would be kicking himself now if he still had it.

I realised that when I did a quick google, I automatically go old school with these bikes as they are the typed of bikes I was around as a kid, I forget a lot of them have been re-released.
Royal Enfield have a bit of a bad rep here at the moment, some grey imports where sold from India that had lot of quality issues, then the supplier didn’t support his customers.
So if you did bring it over you may find a lot of people are wary of it if you wanted to sell it later.
That’s unfortunate… maybe ill have to take a deep breath and pay over the odds for a triumph in Taiwan. Side question are there any old manual vespas still around in Taiwan?
I had a Kawasaki (ER5) it was my work bike when I worked as a courier to pay my way through uni. A good little motor on it, cheep as chips to keep running and reliable even in winter.

Got some photos up on the 136. Lots of wannabe racers up there driving irresponsibly fast on the switchbacks, which is kinda meh and rather terrifying at times, but it does come with the perk of a lot of cool bikes, and with those comes lots of peeps looking to practice photography. Ergo, free pics.

Idk if i talked about it here, it’s the Suzuki Vstrom SX 250. While I’m not 100% confident in it’s Adv creds, it works great as a light weight white plate tourer. Done a ton of 3 hr trips recently.

I do wonder if counter leaning still counts. Knowing them, all they prob consider is the fucking bike because they’re incompetent.
