Why we talkin’ bout me? I don’t know nothing about anything…
Just for the record any mistakes I make in my posts are 100% for sure deliberate.
I don’t make no mistakes no time, not ever.

What about not never?

Just had a heck of a time understanding “currency” in a British accent. He had to use a smaller word, “money”
I only understood the snort in the end…
Oh TB, you just said it twice!
I saw this today and thought it would fit better here than on the “Youtube Clip with most Likes and No Dislikes” thread:

I’m becoming lazier.
Now this thread is not yearly.
I was taught that no should be followed by a singular, but I sometimes read sentences with no + plural.
Why this is not no foreign woman?
I’m not sure why you would be taught that. It might be true in some specific constructions, but it’s not any kind of rule I’m aware of.
I was taught that
A: There is no apple. – right
B: There are no apples. – wrong
I don’t know why I was taught so.
So, both of A and B are correct?
It seems like some kind of hyper-grammatical concept. I think if you would only expect there to be one of the thing, A would be preferred, but if you would expect more than one, B would be. By that standard, “There is no apple in Kyrgyzstan.” would seem very odd.
It’d be pretty odd seeming as the Apple comes from Kyrgyzstan.
And not a lot of people know that…
It makes sense! Apologies to Kyrgyzstan.
The original wild ancestor of Malus domestica was Malus sieversii , found growing wild in the mountains of Central Asia in southern Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and northwestern China.[5][9]
Is this one of those things like India and Nepal fighting over who has the authentic birthplace of Mr. Gautama?
Who’s Mr Gautama?
