ewwwwwwwwwww!!! They ate sidewalk fish! I wouldn’t eat anything that hit the sidewalk in Taiwan. That being said I used to date a guy whose family owned a restaurant and they made the best catfish soup ever! So tasty.
Well, now that you mention it, I find it highly suspicious that a famous catfish soup stand is sitting right next to the Old Jinmei Bridge…
…under which big, fat fish -stripped actually, if I’m not mistaken they must be tilapia escaped from God knows where- swim in huge colonies in the waters of the Xindian River. Catfish must not be too far away…
