The quote isn’t fake but Socrates didn’t say it either.
It’s quite a prosperous European nation. I’m not sure why it would be different to anywhere else.

For one, I thought celebrity was viewed differently in Europe than say the US, where the famous go out in disguise or with large entourages— or not at all. The level of commitment seems different. 
They also think they’re the smartest people in the world. Andy Grove, Milton Friedman, Soros.
