Opening soon: "American-style Chinese Restaurant"

This is such an interesting idea!
I still remember those American-Chinese food back in LA.
Panda Express only had the orange chicken that intrigued me
Some other “Szechuan” restaurants also runs around the street.

I’d definitely give it a shot if you are opening…
However, I don’t know how long you can last and how much fortune you can make out of it
especially I think the rent will be outrageous around that area

The biggest moan I hear here about Chinese food in the states and Europe is that its utter shite. Even the Cantos in the UK who sell the stuff to whiteys call it “lapsup!”
Who will you be marketing it to? Foreigners? Talk about shaving your margins! Taiwanese? How do you plan to pull that one off? “We’re selling the stuff you laugh and sneer at when you’re on your holidays! And we’re selling it right here in Taipei! No need to travel overseas for crappy food any more!”

Porn crackers.

ok, okay, OK…you found me out.

There is NO American-style Chinese Restaurant opening in Taipei, but thank you for taking part in my experiment and making me realize that this idea probably is a little half-baked.

I hope you guys aren’t too disappointed that you won’t be able to eat this kind of food in Taipei, but I can promise you that I would be way more disappointed if I undertook this entrepreneurial venture and it failed. In order for my experiment to get the most “accurate” results and opinions, I had to mislead you in to thinking that this kind of restaurant was actually going to be available to eat at in the near future.

Piss and moan and judge if you must. I’ll get you started:

‘Damn it MM, I have been so depressed lately, but the news that I would finally be able to eat some comfort food gave me some hope. The fact that you have betrayed me and lied, on the internet of all places, has pushed me over the edge - so I am going to jump over the edge.’ Random Forumosian

If you build it, they will come.

That’s just downright bloody rude. Don’t patronise the rest of us with your shitty little “experiment”. It’s deceitful. If you want to know peoples’ opinions about something ask in an honest and respectful way.
