Additional date, time and regional settings.
You are right - that was the issue.
Thanks mate!
what do i have exactly change in Additional date, time and regional settings.
No matter what I change I get the not ‘2019/05/22’ is not a valid date error
thanks
Besides the regional settings, also change the date format. It is under the clock / date settings. I can’t remember the exact path
that’s what i did…changing all the possible combination…not only same error but the stupid middle age software keeps popping the same error message…
My wife (Taiwanese) did our taxes last night and the system is different this year. Instead of a windows app it was a website. Still need a smart card reader and NHI card to login (used hers) but a definite improvement over the old windows app.
Here are some screen grabs. It worked for me

Why do you need a card reader to file taxes?
So the tax bureau can “read” your NHI card to confirm you are the person who is filing online.
Can’t they deduce that from my ARC number?
Which is the new taipei city branch to file tax at? Like the main one? or can you go to any of them?
Go to the one closest to where you live. Search Google maps for 新北市 報稅
Yes, and that website refused to serve me because I am using a Windows PC. Crazy! Any ideas how this tax return can be achieved without trekking through the virus-ridden big-bad-world out there?
This was a workable solution, thanks!
