Modernisation almost always has a down fall. I can’t think of too many examples of modernisation where there isn’t severe consequences. The modern world is causing severe difficulties for animals all around the world.
Despite the ups and downs of modernisation, I think that things are improving as far as “domesticated” animals treatment goes. I don’t think the same can be said about the countless species on the verge of being wiped out, though.
