Wonder what she would have thought about people who don’t discuss anything at all, but just sit there with their mouths hanging open and scrolling through page after page of shite on Facebook, occasionally pressing ‘like’.

I guess she didn’t factor in that future 4th level. :grinning: Facebook has always been complete poison to me.

Even when friends of mine do this, start gossiping about other people, or even quasi gossiping about stuff other people say that has no actual impact on their life, I have an overwhelming urge to scan for exits. Unless for comedy reasons, it’s such a waste of breath and time.

I think the quote is more about what people talk about, and think about in daily life. It’s a comment on the negative petty/gossipy versus bigger picture stuff.
