It was quite an exchange with the reporter. I’m puzzled why the administration needs to rely on lying to the American people. It’s quite bizarre to witness. Trump is trying to achieve fairness, ultimately, in trade. Why not drive that point home? Why the lying?
Because the population is largely retarded and dumb. Nevermind right or left.
For God’s sake, teach the children critical thinking and logic, ASAP!!! In a generation or 3 there might be hope…
I do believe that 90% of Americans had no idea of any details of how a tariff is enacted until recently. They also are oblivious to details like exemptions or companies legally reclassifying their products. I am not badmouthing Americans but in future if administration is not transparent about this process then corruption seeps in very quickly and Americans will be baffled about the various outcomes.
How much tariff money is collected per industry? Where will tariff money be used?
Which companies and industries are getting exemptions and why? (details should include how much money spent lobbying congress and president for such exemptions)
Meanwhile, simply lying to Americans about other countries’ tariff schemes means American are levying anger at other countries needlessly. Yes, almost all countries want to protect their domestic companies. But few American realize the extent that their own federal government helps local companies, like the agricultural industry. I am not saying that assistance is wrong (I think even more assistance is necessary in some industries)…just saying throwing around lies that only other countries are lavishing help on their domestic industries is really disingenuous.
Education Secretary Linda McMahon discussing investigation of racial discrimination in 50 universities: “Students must be assessed according to merit and accomplishment, not prejudged by the color of their skin.”
Post shared by Elon Musk on X: “Stalin, Hitler and Mao didn’t murder millions of people. Their public sector workers did.”
Marco Rubio comments following criticism by South Africa ambassador Ebrahim Rasol: “Ebrahim Rasool is a race-baiting politician who hates America and hates President Donald Trump. We have nothing to discuss with him and so he is considered PERSONA NON GRATA.” [Note: Rubio’s earlier comments: “South Africa is doing very bad things. Expropriating private property. Using G20 to promote ‘solidarity, equality, and sustainability.’ In other words: DEI and climate change. My job is to advance America’s national interests, not waste taxpayer money or coddle anti-Americanism.”]
Trump regarding the media: “I believe that CNN and MS-DNC, who literally write 97.6 percent bad about me, are political arms of the Democrat Party and in my opinion, they’re really corrupt and they’re illegal, what do they do is illegal. These networks and these newspapers are really no different than a highly paid political operative. And it has to stop, it has to be illegal, it’s influencing judges and it’s really changing law, and it just cannot be legal. I don’t believe it’s legal, and they do it in total coordination with each other."
Trump regarding attacks on Tesla cars: “We already know who some of them are; we are going to catch them. If you do it to any company, we will catch you, and you are gonna go through hell."
Attorney General Pam Bondi regarding attacks on Tesla cars: “If you’re gonna touch a Tesla, go to a dealership, do anything, you better watch out because we’re coming after you.”
Sean Hannity regarding market reaction to Trump’s economic related actions: “And, you know, the fact that the markets don’t understand that Donald Trump is in the middle of a negotiation here is kind of hard to comprehend. They have no curiosity about what the thinking of Donald Trump is in this. The thinking is to get them to the table and to either choose free or fair trade or reciprocal tariffs. And that’s what it is. This is the economy that Donald Trump inherited that every American is still living under. He’s not — it takes more than a day to get his economic policies in place.”
Health and Human Services Director Robert F. Kennedy Jr. regarding immunity for measles: "It used to be, when I were a kid, that everybody got measles. And the measles gave you lifetime protection against measles infection. The vaccine doesn’t do that. The vaccine is effective for some people for life, but for many people it wanes. There are adverse events from the vaccine. It does cause deaths every year. It causes all the illnesses that measles itself cause, like encephalitis and blindness, etc., so people ought to be able to make that choice for themselves.”
Trump complaining about Democrats and Chuck Schumer: “The Democrats have to get their act together, and if they don’t vote, then what you’re gonna do is you’re gonna have taxes that are going to go through the roof. You’re gonna have a very bad time, you’re gonna have some very bad things happen, and people are gonna blame the Democrats, and Schumer is a Palestinian as far as I’m concerned, you know, he’s become a Palestinian. He used to be Jewish. He’s not Jewish anymore. He’s a Palestinian.”
Some of those are wild. But without references, hard to take serious. Not saying you are making them up, but people want a source in order to take anything serious. At least I hope people still require this base level.
If Musk said that, I want to know where and I can see he whole context. Because in that s ese, not many modern readers have killed people. Hitler didn’t gas people, the public did. I need a full context and source before calling Elon musk on this.
Block, right click, Google!
Wild? At this point I don’t think I have posted anything that is not part of the quoted person’s normal persona. But I do expect the quotes to become much, much more menacing over time.
I don’t include quote source as sometimes is more than one media (due to try to include as much as original quote as possible) and seems people nowadays only belief certain media anyway. I really don’t expect everyone to believe quotes from people they admire…but that I cannot control. I have checked some quotes before posting and found no “reliable” second source which would validate from my perspective. I do not include summaries from media as to what people said as I think the quotes are the best record.
As for Musk…the one you mentioned is him forwarding a message…not him typing the message himself.
We still have another 3 years and 9 months to see what else pops up. Perhaps the quoted persons’ real meanings will reveal itself over time…
Trump regarding pardons granted by Biden: “The ‘Pardons; that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT, because of the fact that they were done by Autopen. In other words, Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them! It’s not my decision – that’ll be up to a court – but I would say that they’re null and void, because I’m sure Biden didn’t have any idea that it was taking place, and somebody was using an autopen to sign off and to give pardons. The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden. He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime. Therefore, those on the Unselect Committee, who destroyed and deleted ALL evidence obtained during their two year Witch Hunt of me, and many other innocent people, should fully understand that they are subject to investigation at the highest level.”
Texas Governor Gregg Abbot regarding proposed bill to ban “non-human” behavior in schools: “Kids in two rural school district settings go to school dressed up as cats with litter boxes in their classrooms. This has become so prolific, Stan Gerdes, State Representative in the state of Texas, is actually having to file a piece of legislation saying no furries in public schools in the state of Texas. If you have a child in a public school, you have one expectation, your child is going to be learning the fundamentals of education, like reading, writing, math and science. If they’re being distracted by furries, those parents have a right to move their child to the school of their choice.” [Note: Abbot discredits public schools as he wants to push for focus on tax payer funder school voucher program. Abbot has been asked which schools have 'furries” but no reply.]
What about the alcoholics who go dressed as teachers?
When reporter asked Trump press secretary Karoline Leavitt if there was any ‘evidence’ supporting Trump’s claim that pardons by Biden were invalid.: ‘You’re a reporter, you should find out…And so I think it’s a question that everybody in this room should be looking into, because certainly that would propose perhaps criminal or illegal behavior if staff members were signing the President of the United States autograph without his consent.’ [I assume Leavitt means that Trump’s administration will not provide evidence so media should investigate instead.]
Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked Karoline Leavitt responding to question about possibly returning Statue of Liberty to France.:“Absolutely not. And, my advice to that unnamed, low-level French politician would be to remind them that it’s only because of the United States of America that the French are not speaking German right now. So they should be very grateful to our great country.” [Note: Raphaël Glucksmann, a member of the European Parliament and co-president of a left-wing party in France, made the suggestion to return the Statue of Liberty to France]
Trump regarding use of coal for energy production: “I am authorizing my Administration to immediately begin producing Energy with BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN COAL”. [Note: Private companies decide whether to invest producing more gas or coal]
Musk regarding his claim that the DOGE team has discovered 14 “Magic Money Computers” with blank-check authority: “I call a ‘magic money computer’ any computer which can just make money out of thin air.”
Trump on being asked as to why he is tougher with Canada than his other bigger adversaries: “Only because it’s meant to be our 51st state…One of the nastiest countries to deal with is Canada.”
Trump’s US Commerce Secretary, Howard Lutnick, publicly recommended buying Tesla stock: “I think if you want to learn something on this show tonight, buy Tesla. It’s unbelievable that this guy’s stock is this cheap. It’ll never be this cheap again.” [Note: Lutnick indirectly owns Tesla (TSLA) stocks through his investment bank Cantor Fitzgerald which has traded large amounts of Tesla stock. Howard Lutnick’s son, Brandon, is now in charge of Cantor Fitzgerald as Chairman.]
Senator Mayes Middleton from Texas defended his bill to set aside time for prayer during the school day: “There is no such thing as separation of church and state. That has been twisted completely out of control."
Musk responding to post on X attempting to link transgender people to attacks on Tesla cars: “What are the statistics on trans violence? The probability of a trans person being violent appears to be vastly higher than non-trans. Hormone injections cause extreme emotional volatility. That is simply a fact.” [Note: original X post – “Of course 3 out of 4 of the people who have been arrested for vandalizing Teslas are transgender or nonbinary.”]
I’d like to see him work that of in standard form.
