Ron Paul: Not Just a Nutjob — a Poorly Informed Nutjob

LOL I actually hate coffee… Leaves a bad taste in my mouth…
I just hope maybe people will check out this info…
ON PAGE 10 of this thread**** (for anyone who hasnt yet seen my post on page 10, since this has bumped up to 11)

This has been my reason for living… To inform the uninformed… To speak out, when others remain silent…

These words mean more now, then they ever did when they were written:
In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.

 • Mark Twain: The Notebook, 1904
I’m interested. Just what do your posts have to do with the expat community in Taiwan? Are you at all interested in this community or do you just have all this crap saved on your desktop so you can troll random boards and copy/paste your diatribes? You only joined yesterday, you have only seven posts and yet a staggering 5,000 words.
Do you REALLY think you’re doing yourself or your soapbox any favours by flooding the board with these interminable posts and endless lists of links?
Get a grip. Take some time. Perhaps actually try to engage rather than using this impersonal scattershot approach because it makes you come across as no more than a spammer.
…Like an angel, standing in a shaft of light
Rising up to paradise, I know I’m gonna shine
My time coming, anyday, don’t worry bout me, no
It’s gonna be just like they say, them voices tell me so

Seems so long I felt this way and time sure passin’ slow
Still I know I lead the way, they tell me where I go
Don’t worry bout me, no no, don’t worry bout me, no
And I’m in no hurry, no no no, I know where to go

California, a prophet on the burning shore
California, I’ll be knocking on the golden door
Like an angel, standing in a shaft of light
Rising up to paradise, I know I’m gonna shine

You’ve all been asleep,
You would not believe me
Them voices telling me,
You will soon receive me
We’re standing on the beach,
The sea will part before me
(Fire wheel burning in the air)
And you will follow me,
And we will ride to glory
(Way up the middle of the air)
And I’ll call down thunder
And speak the same
And my word fills the sky with flame
And might and glory gonna be my name
And men gonna light my way

My time coming, anyday, don’t worry bout me, no
It’s gonna be just like they say, them voices tell me so
Seems so long I felt this way and time sure passin slow
My time coming, anyday, don’t worry about me, no
Don’t worry about me…
Hmm thats funny, I thought THIS was a forum for International Politics…
Please explain just wtf you mean by this…

Are you trying to say I posted in the wrong forum?

You trying to say this has nothing to do with International Politics?

Have my posts NOT been about International Politics, of Ron Paul in America?

Was my other post that had to do with 9-11 in the wrong forum? Thats funny because that thread had about 10 pages, and was also located here in the International Politics forum…

So let me know if I am posting my thought, and feelings in the wrong forum… :s

Don’t let them get you down, JoeBlow. They’re either disgruntled McCainiacs who know we’re all going down together in November or they’re the type who just like to pick on us Paul supporters because we’re a little worked up about seeing our country go down the tubes.

TC, can you please explain how you feel about Ron Paul. Seriously, I’m curious because you started this thread so I assumed you thought he was a nutjob. But then you posted a couple of great pics of him chatting with Reagan, such as the below shot.

I would have figured you were a big fan of Reagan and if Reagan enjoyed Ron Paul’s company as much as it appears from the above shot, I would have thought you would have respected him for that. I’m not poking fun at you at all; just honestly trying to understand your position.

Thanks.

Thanks. That’s quite clear.
Oh and by the way, if you try it, you’ll find that the quote is wrong. Hit someone with a sledgehammer and all you’ll do is knock them into a daze.

Read the first post in this thread. I believe it is referred to as the “OP.”

In it you will see that the title of the thread is the same as the title of the article quoted. It is considered internet forum etiquette to title threads with the same title as the main article referred to. This is a techniques used to lessen the occurrence of multiple posting of the same article. Search by title and all that.
In this case it is not my personal opinion of Ron Paul. It is just the title of the main article.

My personal feeling about Ron Paul are mixed. If you had read the thread you will note that I have maintained a relatively neutral position on him with my comments. While I have posted pics from both sides - pro, as in the Regan pics and con - as in some of the more humorous pictures.

Personally I agree with a great deal of what he has stood for and espoused over the years. I strongly differ with his current views on the war on the ME. I also consider him to not have a hoot in heck chance of gaining either the nomination or Presidency.

Politics on the Presidential level is a much dirtier game than he has ever played. He just does not have the machine behind him. And with his position on the War, he is not who I want in the CIC position.

Thx for letting me know I was in the right forum… So what was your point in that post?
If Im in the right place, talking about the right topic, then whats up with the sarcasim… :eh:

BTW no…
That quote isnt wrong…
Watch the movie first, and then get back to me…

You are trying to put what would be an obvious physical reaction, into an analogy from a movie… :noway:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/analogy
That clearly anyone would or should understand, as a response to your first comment about what you called my, “impersonal scattershot approach” :bravo:

You somewhere along the line must of misunderstood the meaning behind it… :boo-hoo:

OR you are purposely trolling… Either way its abit :offtopic:

Though this is no fault of mine, you seem to be directing hostility towards me… :wall:

Do you not like people that attempt to inform others of important political issues, which the main stream media chooses to ignore? :silenced:

All you have done since I posted, is troll on my posts… :s
Is THIS what I can expect from this forum? :ponder:

HOW about staying on topic… :thanks:

The topic here is Ron Paul and :braveheart:, NOT my posts and I.

TC, hope you will accept my apology… :notworthy:
I should of read the post all the way threw…
I had just came from another board talking about Ron :braveheart: Paul politics…
SO I just assumed the worst…
I am sorry…

Hate to also say atleast at this point, I also dont think he has “a bleeding chickens chance in Thailand” of getting the nomination… :frowning:

I only wish to let others know exactly what he stands for, and HOW important his point of view is to America :help: !!!

Accepted without reservations. I might suggest you ‘get a feel’ for the board and its members. A quite diverse group to say the least.
Some are quite reserved and/or elusive in making an actual position statement - getting them to respond to a question with a direct answer is sorta like trying to nail jello on a wall. While others wear their views on their sleeve as it were and are sometimes bellicose about it.
We all have our ‘hot button’ issues that spawn the occasional rant…myself included.
Until one learns the ‘personalities’ behind the posters it can be easy to either miss the humor or mis-interpret the post.
Welcome aboard.

I’m sorry. I’ve had a somewhat fraught day and I shouldn’t have tried to take it out on you.

My pointing out the fallacy of that sledgehammer quote wasn’t aimed at you, by the way, but rather at the ineptitude of a third-rate Hollywood screen hack.

Peace. And good luck with your Paul Ron thing. Who is he, anyway? Some kind of Yank politician by the sound of it.

a vote against Ron Paul is a vote against the constitution.

run Paul run… but sadly, the American public are not a moral people and they will elect anybody that can give them the warm fuzzies…despite his anti-constitutional ideals.

Ron Paul is like our Dalai Lama. The living reincarnation of the ideals of George Washington minus the obsession with drilling redcoats with musket balls.

Ron Paul was that pope who got poisoned or something–you know, right before Ron Paul II.
