Lol and if we’re playing that game I could share plenty of personal anecdotes of local girls who have confirmed local men are very small and couldn’t even get it up. I never said there really was an issue in Taiwan. Definitely not to the extent that it is in other countries.

The whole thread actually started when someone falsely insinuated that I think every foreigner I see is a sexpat, in response to a post where I described the behavior of one person I know IRL. He actually readily admits he’s a sexpat! He’s trying to turn over a new leaf now, after contracting one too many STDs.

All I did was point out some of them do exist here.

Conversation is not what they’re getting paid for. I’m not greatly informed on the topic, but I always assumed prostitution greatly benefited from being actually attractive to begin with? Especially if you’re a wealthy NFL owner, I would have assumed he’d be banging very high class escorts.

Regardless, prostitution is sleazy and I’m not condoning it at all. Sympathy for alll involved

Now if that were the case, I would think it’s an epidemic, now wouldn’t I? And I do not. 99 out of 100 men I meet seem pretty normal to me.

That much is pretty obvious here, yes. I think that’s because there are more all-girls schools here and they spend so much time with each other. I always see high school girls holding hands and cuddling on the MRT. It’s kinda cute.

@Hanna your problem is, you try to have it both ways. You strongly infer that virginity is something to be ashamed of, then when you’re called out on it you backtrack and say “no, that’s toxic, why would you think I meant that”, then within the same breath and without a trace of irony or awareness you use the idea you just labeled “toxic” as an implied attack on those that called you out. I have more respect for Gain because at least he’s honest.

So why am I picking on you a bit here? It’s not because I think your argument is a bad one. I mean, I do. But there’s plenty of people I disagree with here. It’s also not because I identify with your definition of “sexpat.” I’m old, married with a kid and don’t go out much anymore.

Here’s why; it’s the fact you do try to have it both ways, and you also employ a pet-peeve of mine, which is something I mentioned earlier, and that is you try to shut down discussion by shaming the other party with the implication that they must relate to the type of person you’re criticizing… because why else would they care? I see too much of that online these days, and it bugs the hell out of me. Because it’s used to shut down productive discussion by turning things personal. So that’s why I needled you a bit more than I would otherwise.
