What scandal? No. Because he broke his knee jogging and then got a World Series ring for riding the pine the entire year.

Riding the pine: he made up for it during his multi-year tour of the minors all over the U.S.
Notwithstanding the scandal, the documentary shows how much he gave it his all to get back to the big league. Anyway.
I still see #40 around, so it is a legitimate souvenir. Ha
