Yup. It’s time to show China that no one gives a shit what they think is the right way of doing things. The world needs to call out the Chinese bluff in a big way.

Sika Air

(or, rolling with the spotted livery, Bubble Milk Tea (BMT) Airline)

We already had Formosa,

Yep but as said, that name is on China’s blacklist. Colonialism and all that jazz. Please don’t shoot the messenger.

actually Formosa Air was absorbed by CAL, so they can use that name. Whereas TAiwan Airlines was absorbed by EVA , AFAIK

Or how about East of China Air? Nah still China. (EOCA)
OK how about South of Japan Airline? (SOJA)
oR North of Philippines Air (NOPA )

Or how about The Country That Isn’t Air (ICTIA)

okok tHEY CAN call it TOMMY525 AIR ( i can license my name to them) or DPP AIR?

Taiwair

I thought about Blossom Air as the logo of China Airlines is a plum blossom. Then could be 梅航

It wont be Taiwan islands, thats for definite. CAL still have to fly there, they arent going to destroy their business

Chinese Taipei wont fly

Choosing one tribe over the others? Not kosher.

How about Jade Airways? For Jade Mountain. It would make an awesome logo.

Jade sounds too jaded

:smile_cat:

How about Hen Hao Airlines

or NOT EVA Air? Then we have EVA Air and NOT EVA Air

Olivia Airways ? (Eva is a girls name too)

Or. HTE Airlines. (Here There Everywhere)

As we can see it’s not easy to come up with. Proper name

I still think reducing it to just CAL Airlines

May be easier
And shorten the official Chinese name to just Hua Hang Hang Kong. Get rid of the Chong Hua

“China Airlines has purchased seven 777s, and now they are undergoing flight test. Regarding the painting, there is a space reserved to add images representing Taiwan. Currently, the font size is reduced as the first step, and China Airlines will officially explain to the public when the full painting design is completed.”

Don’t know what is the logic behind the fetish the govt seems TK have to reduce font sizes but not really change anything. Whether it’s the country’s name, airline’s names. Seriously who are they kidding? If they feel the repercussions are too great let them not do anything.

Basically not changing anything.

Don’t know why didn’t just change it to Chunghwa

Or Chinese Taipei Airline.

/snark off
