I looked previously for that one game I was playing as a kid on my commodore64, but I forgot the name and was not able to find it.
You make robots out of different components, capture factories that manufacture more and fight the opponent’s robots.
But not today! 
I finally found it. I am so happy right now!

I posted what I played growing up on home Atari unit. Pong, tank, space invaders.
Got into games later because I wasn’t allowed a Nintendo. Somehow computers were ok though.
Played these any chance I could.
