Star Wars as an allegory of Taiwanese politics?

Taiwan is recognize as a representative to the Chinese people but not recognize as an Sovereign entity in the United Nations. (unofficial)

“you are on the council but we do not grant you the rank of master”

  • Mace Windu (StarWars)

(Note: I moved this here from Legal because my policy is not to let political debates take over that forum. @rowland, please keep your impure thoughts to yourself. Thank you!)

Taiwan is more like Qui gon Jinn.

He was a Jedi master who was as powerful and influential as anyone on the council. But he wasn’t on the council.

I wasn’t starting any debate. I was just clarifying Taiwans roll in the UN .

Yes, but one political thing leads to another, and before you know it we’d all be arguing about whether or not Trump’s favorite ice cream flavor is borscht.

Also, no one in Taiwan has midichlorians while many Chinese do.
