Taipei mechanic at your service, near Hakka Park, at the end of Shida Rd (客家公園,師大路底)

I’m losing a lot of big jobs too, or ones promised ends up canceled.

No major repair breakthrough recently; however, I’ve got my first New Zealand case. A SHIMANO ULTEGRA ST-6700-L rebuild.

What’s new recently:
Done a ULTEGRA ST-6600 rebuild.
I attended a 3-month course on mechanical watch repair in order to sharpen my skill. It helps greatly.
Got recruited by GIANT HQ, hence I’ll shutdown my Taipei workshop. From mid September I’ll be in Taichung. I’ll still provide shifter repairs but other than that most repair services will be suspended.

A long awaiting case from South Australia finally touched down and delivered. Just in time before I move to Taichung. Unlike most classic ST-6700 failures, this case has a cracked cable reel. I’m lucky enough to have a spare donor piece and repair it within 24 hours as promised.

There still this undiscovered area which bothers me that whether the crack came before the failure, or a gradual looseness lead to the crack then the failure. The answer remains unknown but I’d like to investigate a bit further.
