It must have been big because I actually felt it. Normally I don’t but that one had some small shaking for 2-3 secs here.
Epicentre near Hualien. Good short shuddering here in Linkou.
Felt it and glad I postponed my bike ride by 10 minutes. 
Maybe Mazu is dancing for joy about the new year.

Heping was the strongest point. Work has just started on the new bridge across the river there as part of the Suhua improvement project. Hope they weren’t laying the foundations.
that was a decent shake here in Zhongzheng…My mum is over visiting. Petrified of earthquakes, still trying to get her out from under the table 
Here in Daan we felt only the 16:16 at Richter 5.3 but not the three aftershocks
