This is actually worth watching. They talk about the hair brained shiny dome design, how it has ruined the horizon view from within the park, and how the glare is affecting the users of the memorial hall park. They don’t however address how the redesign will reduce the glare. Perhaps other work is being done here to make the surface of the dome more matte, as they’ve had a lot of complaints.

That ridiculous dome is a gift that keeps on taking. Despite heavy competition, it may well be the worst development project I’ve seen since I moved to Taiwan.

I suppose if you can’t see it, the glare will not be there?
Enlarging the reflecting pool, if done right, is a good call.

台中市第一條捷運綠線已經於11/16通車試營運，此時此刻的高雄也沒有閒著，許多捷運計畫正如火如荼進行當中。
● 興建中
—環狀輕軌 (第二階段)
高雄市長陳其邁在11/10宣布環狀輕軌第二階段復工，將推動9項優化調整方案的結果及2項行政配套措施，並宣示美術館到博愛路段2022年底優先完工。
另外第二階段部分路段（西子灣＝鼓山區公所、籬仔內＝凱旋公園，共9站）已接近完工，捷運局計畫在12月初申報初勘，力拼在明年農曆年前通車營運。
預計2023年底全線通車。
—岡山路竹延伸線 (第一階段)
土建工程預定於2022年5月底完工，配合捷運岡山站通車後的新人行動線，台鐵岡山站後站增設工程，最快將於今年底或明年初發包規劃設計。

—岡山路竹延伸線 (第二階段)
第二階段分細分為第2A階段（岡山＝南路竹，路竹南段）與第2B階段 (南路竹＝大湖)，第2A階段已將修正後的綜規及環評報告送交通部審查，又因第二階段也包含第一階段機電系統發包，第2A與第一階段預計在2026年同時通車。
第2B階段需等路線經過的省道拓寬後才能進行環評作業。
—黃線
綜規及環評報告已送交通部審查，市府因議會及民眾壓力仍以全線地下化中運量系統為考量規劃，但交通部因建設經費龐大建議五甲段從地下段改為高架段，能否順利核定仍有變數。工程預計2022年開工，2028年完工。
● 可行性評估
—高鐵延伸屏東
交通部拍板高鐵延伸屏東將採「左營案」，可行性研究報告現已報國發會審查，第3期特別預算案已編列1億元支應未來綜合規劃作業。
有民眾於公共政策網路參與平台提案高鐵延伸屏東改採「小港潮州案」，但網路附議結束前並未達交通部必須回應的門檻（5000人）。
另外，甫動工的仁武產業園區鄰近未來高鐵預定延伸的路線，市府表示，路線將從園區南面經過，不會穿越園區。
—小港 - 林園 - 東港線
這條路線分為高雄段（小港＝林園工業區）及屏東段（林園工業區＝大鵬灣），高雄段的可行性研究報告已報交通部審查，屏東段則是明年報部。
經過中央與地方協調，小港 - 林園 - 東線線之佈線將採高架化的方式，系統型式則未定。
—旗津線
旗津線現正辦理可行性研究期末報告修正，須解決自償性不足的問題才能持續推動。
旗津線預計採用輕軌運輸系統（LRT），路線長度約7.5公里，初步規畫設9處車站。
