That street view is outdated. The building (30+ stories) has been erected awhile now.
Technology Building MRT. The actual Technology Building is on Heping, a couple hundred meters away.
Google is not driving around every 10 minutes.

Courtyard looks very slippery.
It looks like a wonky spring.
How can they increase floor area if there is no land to increase? Most old building are just the land they sit on.
It means make the new replaced building taller. The sky is free.
Taller buidings are good tbh. More housing stock is a good thing but until there are taxes for stockpiling property, Nobody is going to benefit
