Have you been to 一燒十味？You can season your own meats there if you don’t like the way the other restaurants season them. Their meat isn’t the best quality though, but it’s ok.

The imported GMO soy wheat and corn double soaked in fertilizers and pesticides? Seems unlikely to change completely given the land area capacity type factors.
Unfortunately Taiwan is pretty much dependent on the global food production machine.

I would expect the same food condition anywhere I travel, with the exception of NORK.
You can get more locally produced stuff in many places, including no doubt in Taiwan. But yea just saying it might be one of the limiting factors.
