Teaching English while Transgender in Taiwan

I never said those two countries were free of discrimination I said they might be a better option especially as the availability of hormones and gender reassignment surgeons and doctors is much higher than in Taiwan.

I agree. I went after teaching part time when I first came back to Taiwan. I was told how difficult it would be for me not being a white face. Found a offer in my first week. Had a professional resume and brought copies to the interview, came to the interview on time and in a nice suit. Please and thanks yous and acted professional with a good impression. No issues at all. Iā€™m sure some people might discriminate, but if you act competent and professional, itā€™s hard to turn down a good candidate.

I would gain sanity.

Thanks everyone for the support and awesome discussion. I left Taipei to return home to the US in 2018 due to a big visa screw-up with my spouse. I have been considering returning in a few years after COVID19 has been adequately handled in the US.
