Tell me (10 things) how Taiwan will be in 2030-2040

Hello.
I was wondering what will Taiwan be like in 2030-2040 in terms of economy, society,

Old people still moaning on this forum about how good it was in the ‘old days’.

type “Taiwan in the future” in the search box and exercise your eyes.
It’s kind of been beaten like a dead horse.

I think you should learn how to not be rude

Not sink. Only half-serious, but I just look for any excuse for dark humor.

  1. Taiwan and Korea will become the wealthiest countries (or close) among counties with populations over 10 million. Because chips are the new oil.
  2. People will complain on this forum about how much money locals make and how their right to own an affordable home is being violated.

Big problem is that chips aren’t location dependent. So any country can invest.

Oil is in the ground. Chips are manufactured.

Not the most advanced ones. China has tried for a decade.

I don’t disagree with your assertion. I just think it is more nuanced.

And unlike oil it only takes one small innovation and you are on top or the bottom.

Tech is a moving target.

Just because Taiwan is a chip industry leader today doesn’t mean they will hold that position indefinitely. See Intel as an example
