Has anyone had the misfortune of seeing Driven?
Drive right past it with my remote steering wheel and am Thinking of canceling my cable contract just because they let it be broadcast.
Yo.

I tried not to watch, but I was like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming 18-wheeler.
Like a kitten after a moth you mean, omni aftr a thin leg, formosa after a virus, everyone after formosa, jiang after puppet governer of taiwan, chou after another bad joke. Speaking of headlights, its way time I turn them on and find my way to bed, dear kitty. Oh one last thing…

I appreciate the guy, honestly. Incredible physique. Built a wildly successful career despite learning disabilities and a speech impediment. Not much of an actor–The only movies of his I can watch are “First Blood,” “Rocky I-III,” “Copland,” and “Get Carter,” but I respect what he’s done with his career.
If you are unhappy with my post we can arm wrestle, box, or shoot at each other in the jungle with bows and arrows. Headband optional.
Actor—> Tom Hanks
Actress----> J Lo

I agree, but my list is shorter - I think Copland and Rocky 1 are great movies. The rest of his stuff is forgettable, or even embarrassing. (Remember Oscar, Tango & Cash, and Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot?)

I realise this. And hear they’ve been making the rounds at Orange too.
chou,
you were auto-moderated by segue. it’s far more embarrassing than having your subjunctive clause washed in public.

You think that’s bad, Mucha Man gets his name auto-edited. What if he moves ? will he be hsintien (xindian) (was mucha (muzha) ) man ?

So it is, so it is. auto-moterated, I shudder at the twisted implications that such a heinous phrase will have on Formosa bashing.

klaxon, I also spotted Steven Seagal once, at the Kathmandu Guesthouse in Nepal, where he was wearing the same leather get-up with fringe. Apparently he was in town to get in touch with his buddhist underside. I was sitting in the lobby and he strutted around for a while before sitting at another sofa acting imperial. Not only does he lack talent, but he’s surprisingly short and uncharasmatic. You’d think at least to be an action star one has to be big, strong or handsome. He looks more like George Costanza in real life.

 Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Ah, I can see it now…the Seagal and Seinfeld Las Vegas Spectacular…
Can’t stand J Lo. She’s so goddamned phoney.
She has that song now called “I’m still Jenny from the hood” or something like that, where she sings about being the same girl that started out in a lowly, depressed neighborhood.
Yeah, right! That’s why she’s engaged to a famous Hollywood actor rather than some guy “from the hood”… and that’s why she demands that her hotel rooms be stocked with only a certain type of water and that her bed sheets be made only of a certain type of cotton with a certain number of fibers…
No doubt the folks “back in the hood” are just as particular and demanding as J Lo.
I hate that crap.
How can anyone forget “Hanoi Jane” Fonda? No looks and no talent but able to ride her family connections onto the Big Screen and beyond. Anyone see her interview after “The Deerhunter” won the Oscar and her “Coming Home” lost? Talk about a SORE loser!

“Hanoi Jane” entertaining North Vietnamese troops:
Willy the whale (orcha) . Apparently after the first Willy movie the fame went completely to his head , he became very difficult to work with (eg he objected to the clause in his contract that stated he would be turned into dog food after the final movie in the series). He often turned up late to the set , his breath stank of fish & he latterly developed a serious coke habbit , hence the droopy dorsal fin.
I suspect most actors would choose being hated only second to being loved. What they would really fear is indifference.
About the only two movie reviews I can remember are from my college newspaper. One was for “Free Willy 2” and the review simply read: “Killer whales play with baby seals before they eat them.”
The second was for “Stop…Or My Mom Will Shoot!”. The review was only 4 words: Stallone. Comedy. Oil. Water.
