I really was fired up in the day.
Filed official complaints on:

Telecoms, banks, dual citizen issue, HSR about no disability discounts for disabled foreigners, ubike, masks not being allowed to be sent to foreigner families during the pandemic but only locals, Gondola in Taipei not allowing local foreigners to get discount, Taiwan museum not allowing free day for foreigners but only locals, Taichung bus and cancelling foreigner free rides, tax office for trying to deny rent tax credits without having a landlord chop, and DMV for doing that stupid reciprocal licencing thing.

Now I’m like whatever. Lol
The government basically will either just say Tough Titty get lost or stonewall you for years.

Yeah that’s the problem. I don’t want to spend all my energy on fighting individuals because there’s 23 million of them.

That’s why I couldn’t care about the hospital charging $12 more for foreigners. These kinds of things happen all the time. You will burn yourself out fighting every battle. I have to pick my battles to keep the fire alive.

Fight the ultimate battle. Get the dual citizenship rule instated. Then not only will you have a case in court when they discriminate against a white/black/hispanic Taiwanese person, but you’ll have a voice. When we are a voting bloc, then we can tear down the obstacles with greater ease.
