If there were some grassroots conversations about “how to we stop this nonsense happening again, and how to we make our societies more resilient against epidemics?” I’d be perfectly OK with it. That the great and the good are seeing it as an opportunity to cement their power is scary stuff. Wonder if there’s likely to be a serious kickback?

If Beijing Biden is elected it’s a guarantee this is the way the USA will go. Build back better is the mantra which the Dems have pushed and share with the fake conservatives in the UK who use the mindspace.pdf doctrine to openly push for the reset.
Although Beijing Biden lied and said there would be no lockdown, there will be one which assists in the reset. Ramifications are mass unemployment and UBI along with mass centralization.
I prefer freedom, individuality and being able to own things.

It would happen in Taiwan eventually. Whether that is due to a Chinese invasion though?

All this stuff was predicted by science fiction writers back in the 50s and 60s. I know I read many of their novels and short stories when I was a kid . Then these 'visionary tech dickheads ’ like Kurzweil claim to have invented these concepts like the singularity. Give me a break !
By the way those writers tales didn’t always end well. I’m talking about Robert Heinlein and Isaac Asimov in particular.

I am open to new ideas thoughts etc., no matter how silly they sound until proven otherwise.
I hope it is false. I take these email claims with a pinch of salt as they sound fantastic, but if you said to someone a year ago that the reset would be happening now, that would have been laughed at.
I don’t think it would be a guarantee but the skids would be greased for sure. I think Biden has his head stuffed so far down his basement crapper that it’s unlikely he realizes yet what the young folk in his party have in mind.
If you haven’t already, you should watch the sci-fi television show The Expanse. In that world humanity has colonized Mars with the result that humans remaining on Earth are under the control of the UN. And they’ve been through their own great reset: there are no jobs outside the UN, humans on Earth suffer greatly and are desperate to give their lives meaning, and NYC is occupied by a UN force (army) to keep the revolution tamped down.
Humans with the will to work are the ones who left for Mars, which is like the USA with entrepreneurs, happiness, and the galaxy’s best military, the Mars Congressional Republic Navy.
Scary indeed that Trudeau - and likely Biden - would have so little understanding of human nature that they’d push for this.

Every time an election happens, someone ‘guarantees’ an apocalyptic scenario is going to happen.
I’ve seen both Republican and Democrat administrations and not one destroyed the country. It’s getting tiring to listen to. What makes you sure this time the Democrats are going to destroy the country and take all of our stuff making everything permanent rental? This alarmism is getting tiring.
