Okay, hike this Saturday. Muzha. If it rains we will walk up to Zhinan Gong temple, down to the elementary school, up to Maokong Gondola Station, along the ridge to the new trail down to Zhangshan Temple then down the 1km cobbled path to the Zenda Uni ring road then down to the uni area for tea or coffee.
Okay, even if it doesn’t rain we will do this. Unless the weather report is totally off and it is sunny. Then we can consider the Bijia Shan trail.
Meet around 10am at Muzha Station and take a quick taxi to the start of the Zhinan Gong steps.
I haven’t missed any hiking event since I joined Hiking Club. I won’t miss this one.
Looks like it won’t be a big turnout. Oh well. Kate, let’s meet at 11am, please. Patty wants to join the hike but has a short meeting in the early morning.
I was hoping I might, but the government has dictated otherwise.
Sad indeed. Well, let’s hope the change in leadership brings rosy prospects for future hikes. No wait, that would mean you weren’t getting any work. Well, let’s hope for greater efficiency so you are never saddled with last minute translations.
Yesterday’s hike was great! I haven’t done long hike approximately for two weeks, it was a great refreshing hiking event to rebuild hiking habit for me. Thank to Mucha Man’s leading and the good company: Chris, Kitty, and Patty.
And the hiking trail was great, a loop route that we could have great view of whole condola line, great blossoms and lush forest. We started at NCCU, to Zhinan Tample, Zhinan elementary stchool, Maokong, Erjiaogeshan, Xinhualin, Zhanshan Temple, and then retuned to NCCU.
I was happy to learn this new route.
I am uploading photos, I will soon post photos taken during the hike yesterday.
Sorry, delayed pics and I’ve been overwhelmed by unexpected assignments so that I am unable to post pics here and write captions of those pics on flickr.
And those are parts of photos taken during the hike. I don’t put close shots online because I don’t like to put photos of people without their approval.
I always think of the idea hiking up to Ergeshan and taking photos of whole Taipei basin when the sky is bright blue and cloud is shining white this summer. After the hike in Erjiaogeshan, taking photos of the gondola line is added into my this summer’s to-do list. It’s a great view.

Fall is actually the best time. Or a day or two before a typhoon.
