The limits to fidelity

I’m calling bullshit here, from a personal perspective. I don’t want to be finishing off what Jessica up there started. That’s the problem with Divea’s conjecture here. Being wanted is sexy–being used because my guy just wanted what he saw on the screan is not.

Oh, sorry, Fruitloop. Yes, ultimatly, if your wife never ever was willing to give you head, you would be obliged to live a life without head. She needs to be open to your needs, but that doesn’t mean you can ignore her sensabilities.

You presumably didn’t marry your wife for head, and should love her more than that. There are worse things in the world. She could get tired of being asked and bite it off!

This is the point. Do we write off anyone with an unsatisfying sex life as being in a dysfunctional relationship? I don’t think so. It seems presumptuous, if not arrogant - if you’re not getting enough there’s something wrong with your relationship. I see the holistic nature of relationships - but that doesn’t mean all issues are connected. Should they then be committed to an unsatisfying/ non existent sex life till death do them part?[/quote]

40% of married couples in Japan don’t have sex anymore:

Dysfunctional or an alternative lifestyle? :ponder:

Not exactly. The article defines “sexless” as “having no sex for a month or more.”

Hehe.

Actually, I used to have a boyfriend who very much liked head. Naturally. The only problem being, he didn’t give nearly as much as he received, and foreplay tended to consist of that … Which actually left me with some hangups about it. As in, bucketloads.

Even now, I’m fairly reluctant to head down there unless I know I’m going to get something too. Which is a great improvement from before, where I didn’t like to do it at all. I ended up going from being quite good to being quite terrible, following the ‘men pretending not to be able to wash the dishes’ theory (didn’t work, but I tried).

Anyway. Moral of the story.

Perhaps if she’s not doing something fairly selfless like giving head, it’s because she doesn’t feel like she’s getting equal attention at other times?

This is not a secret. A LOT of women dislike putting a penis in their mouth. I for one, FULLY understand this.

Fortunately, head was just an example of situations peeps might find themselves in, as for the most part is the thread in general. Any writer naturally puts something of himself into whatever he writes, but here it’s mostly just thinking about these things. I think too much about too many subjects.

I was going to go to sleep, but I had this nagging feeling that there was something I’d forgotten to do today! Thanks for reminding me.

Whopping? Is that some kind of euphemism for foffing or wanking?

There are no limits to fidelity. Once you go past any such ‘limit’, it’s no longer fidelity. And that’s the point, innit?

As my attempt to avoid the internet for the month of January, whilst allowing myself to check email once per day has proved. It’s all or nothing, no exceptions. I’m still managing to use it less than before but it’s creeping back up to previous levels.

A wife is supposed to fulfill your sexual needs but to many a wife becomes an anti-sex for various reasons.

Yeah. Usually these various reasons have something to so with their husbands.

Yeah. They’ve heard about the tommy, and they know what they’re missing out on!

Yeah. That’s it!

So, a fifty year old man who last had sex five years ago has a choice of:

A. Getting a divorce
B. Agreeing with his wife that they are dysfunctional and getting relationship counselling. (are they dysfunctional?)
C. Never having sex again.

I’m not sure it’s that simple.

Either or both partners might not want (or believe in) a divorce or want to end their partnership. They might not feel dysfunctional.

Do love, marriage and sex necessarily occupy the same ground?

 You think a 45 year old Man would wait 5 years to decide??? I guess, this should be answered by the hot blooded 45-50 year olds we have here

I honestly don’t know.

In my experience, when sex becomes ‘once-a-week-only’ it usually means the relationship’s in trouble…

Going without for FIVE YEARS?!? What do you do at nights, sleep?!

Says who?? Media.

Your relationship is in trouble if you’re unhappy. Period. You can be boinking 5 times a week and be miserable for being over sexed OR undersexed.

QFT.

Plus, frequency is bound to decrease for older folks. It doesn’t mean they grew unhappy together.
